It’s the end of February, and where did the time go? It’s still freezing here in Chicago and I’m officially going stir crazy! I’ve been in the house for a while now, due to the weather, recovery from my delivery and of course my little baby. With all of this time inside I’ve been re-organizing my closet! I absolutely love to straighten and organize my closet.
I’ve done a decent amount of cleaning out as well and taking inventory of my purses. I found that I have a lot of work tote bags…maybe too many! But I’ve collected them over the years and actually rotate them often. The work tote bag is just as important as your actual work outfit.
If you’ve been following me for a while you know how passionate I am about getting dressed for work. It’s one of my favorite things to do! I know it sounds weird, but getting dressed in a nice outfit really sets the tone for the work day. If you love what you wear you will feel better about your day. That theory also applies to what you carry with you on your way to work.
The work tote bag is always showing, you can’t cover it up with a coat 🙂 You also have to make sure the work tote works for you. My work tote bag has to check so many boxes for me. I use my work tote bag for so many different things. I use it to:

Today I’m sharing my Top 10 Work Tote Bags that you need in your life. Ok you don’t need all of them, but one or two will be perfect!
Do you travel for work? If so you need one of the Lo and Sons bags. I have the O.M.G bag and its essential for work travel. It makes traveling for work so much easier. It can also double as a gym bag. My favorite features of the bag include:

This tote is sturdy, yet flexible. I hate when tote bags loose their shape and flop around. And I also hate when tote bags are to tight and aren’t flexible. My co-worker has this bag and she loves it! She uses it daily and swears its the best bag for travel because it literally fits everything. The material is durable and holds up to being shoved under an airplane seat or stuffed in the overhead compartment. I love that is stylish enough to be brought out at night too.
Everyone needs an investment bag in their lineup. I bought my investment tote a few years ago and it’s one of the best purchases I’ve ever made. I use the tote daily for work and travel. It fits everything I need for daily use and can be loaded up for meetings when I need to bring presentation materials. Mine is sadly sold out, but this one and this one are equally as investment worthy!
A slimmed down classic tote that can fit a laptop, water bottle and several other odds and ends. You can confidently walk into a meeting with this purse in your hand. Its a power bag that has all your tools secured in one stylish place.
One of my favorite brands is Gigi New York, they have the most amazing purses. I absolutely love my Jenni Saddle Bag which is why I love the Teddie Tote as well. It’s made from the same pebbled leather, that is gorgeous and durable. Having a high quality leather bag that stands up against the morning commute is essential for a career focused gal.
On average I see 10 girls walking downtown Chicago with this bag during the week. It’s hugely popular probably for the effortless style it offers and the price tag (it’s only $150!!). It comes in 5 colors, the black and brown are the most popular, but I’m loving this deep olive color. The bag fits a laptop, so it’s perfect to use when you sneak away from the office to work. It’s versatile too, wear it over your shoulder or across your body.
The smaller the logo the better. I love designer bags, but I don’t love large logos. I’d rather have everyone guessing where my bag is from. Coach has a great classic style that will be around for years. Their Charlie Carryall is an example of that timelessness. It has a minimal logo and great overall shape. With two open compartments on the sides it has easy access to get your laptop and planner in out and quickly. It also has a middle zipper pocket so you store your wallet and any other sensitive items.
This bag is a total steal, its under $50! Sole Society is a great brand that has on trend chic pieces for a fraction of the price. While it is faux leather you would never know looking at it. The tote comes in 4 colors and I would normally get the black one, but this mauve color screams spring!
More of a casual option for a work tote bag is the Longchamp bag. Its a great bag to put a lot of stuff in, as they nylon material gives. A Longchamp bag is an icon French symbol and one that draws a double take when walking down the street.
