The Go-Anywhere White Tweed Jacket

Key Piece Alert!!!  It’s been a while since I’ve shared a hot key piece with you guys.  Today I have a great one for you. It’s the go anywhere jacket! In other words, it’s the jacket that you turn to when its too hot for a real coat or when you need an extra piece with your outfit.  My go to right now is this adorable white tweed jacket.

For those of you that are new around here you might be wondering “What is a Key Piece?” Well, a Key Piece enhances your current closet collection, is an item that can be worn across multiple seasons, and is an item that isn’t overly trendy. In other words, the item is timeless and key to every wardrobe.

My closet is full of little jackets. These jackets have been with me for years and have been everywhere with me.  They are items I grab when I need an extra piece for my outfit. It can be a blazer, a moto jacket or even a sweater blazer. 

I grab these jackets when it’s a little chilly out.  If I’m walking to work, I wear it to give me an extra layer of warmth.  Or I toss it over my purse and wear it in the office.

It’s also the perfect piece that completes my evening look.  I instantly feel dressed up when I put on my little jacket. And it also is great to have on hand when I get a little chilly. 

The jacket I’m obsessed with right now is this Jie Jacket from MM LaFleur.  You all know my love for MM, however due to COVID my workwear wardrobe has been put on the back burner.  Instead I’ve been buying piece that I can wear casually with the added bonus if I can wear it to work, when I head back to the office.  When I saw this jacket it fit all my criteria.  It is something I can wear to the office and wear casually as well.  Which gets huge cost per wear points for me.

I love this jacket now as an extra layer on nights outs.  It is also going to be an ideal piece for the office, when I head back in the fall.  It’s polished over a dress, ideal for traveling and cute for casual Friday’s in the office.   The jacket has a matching skirt too so you can make it a full suit for formal office wear.
