If you are a frequent reader or new to my site you will find out very quickly that I love classic pieces that stand the test of time. I focus on timeless fashion that can be worn for multiple years and at any age. Today I’m sharing my latest obsession and favorite key piece, the white blouse. I’ve always had a mature taste in clothes. I’ve known that a classic white blouse is ideal for any age. I fell in love when I was 10, I wore a white blouse in my school picture and have had one in my closet ever since. It was actually a puffy blouse with a huge ruffle down the front, it was gorgeous!
A white blouse is ideal for work, it’s crisp, professional and polished. You can never go wrong wearing this piece in the office. And the style options are endless too. Whether you pair it with a statement necklace or cuff the sleeves and pop the collar. There is a way to style a white blouse to fit your personality.
This summer I went back to my childhood and added a puffy blouse back into my closet. This blouse is the 2020 version featuring an adorable puff sleeve detail. The puff sleeve is the trend of 2020 that I’m all about, it’s ultra feminine. Now summer may seem like an odd time to add a white blouse to your wardrobe, but this one is made for summer.
White Blouse For Summer
It’s 100% cotton and ultra lightweight. It is like wearing air, it’s that lightweight. The blouse is sheer so wearing a tank underneath it is necessary. Unless you are wearing it to the beach as a swimsuit cover-up. Another detail of the top I love is the split neck. It’s a subtle detail, but a modern one. This detail is also perfect to a gold dainty necklace.
In the warmer months I would pair this top with shorts. In order of my favorite options I would pick.
- Denim shorts (this pair is only $18 and I wear them all the time)
- Black shorts (these are my “mom shorts” and so comfy)
- Navy Shorts (I love the tie waist on this pair)
I also love this top with cropped jeans and full length jeans. Here are some great options that I own.
- Cropped Distressed Denim (this pair is the perfect starter distressed denim pant)
- High Waisted Skinny Jeans (I have this pair in 3 colors)
- Cropped Bootcut Jean (the frayed hem is what makes these jeans!)
All Seasons
Filling your closet with pieces that you can wear for multiple seasons makes your money go further. That is why I try so hard to buy what I love that is classic and bonus points if I can wear it multiple season. I’ve already showed you how to style it for summer, but what about the rest of the year? I have you covered!
Spring
Pair this white blouse with skinny jeans and an animal print flat. My go to pair is my snakeskin pair, but I would also grab for a leopard pair. In fact leopard is the newest neutral on the block. It is here to stay for a long time!
Fall
Layering this blouse with an over sized cardigan or camo jacket will make it ready for fall.
Winter
The more layers in the winter the better. Sometimes I wear a total of three tops together! With this top being so lightweight you can easily add a sweater blazer and a scarf for extra warmth.
