Hello ladies! It’s time for my and your favorite post of the month, Currently Loving! I especially love this month’s feature because the items I’m featuring broke me out of my comfort zone. It is the tassel earring!
Some of you may not know this about me, but I’m a little uptight. It’s ok, I know it and I’m not afraid to say it. I’ve always been this way too. However, I’ve been working on loosening up a bit and dangly earrings is where it all started.
I’ve always been a conservative person, whether in my finances, my list making, my cleaning schedule or how many drinks I have at night, I’m usually ultra conservative. I usually find something I like and stick with it. And stick with it for a long time.
I’ve also taken this approach with earrings. Traditionally, I’ve always been a stud earring type of gal. Ever since I got my ears pierced when I was little I’ve worn a stud earring. Maybe once in my 20’s I wore a chandelier earring, but that is about it. A few month ago I received my Rocksbox and got the most beautiful pair of Kendra Scott Earrings!

Now back to the tassel earrings. I decided to wear them out one night and let me tell you, it was a huge deal. For days before, I talked about wearing these earrings. I talked about it so much that Mike didn’t believe I would actually leave the house in them. When I’m nervous I usually talk about things until I’m blue in the face and end up backing out at the last minute. This was different, though. I wore the tassel earrings out, and well, they changed my life.
No joke, this single pair of tassel earrings made me a little less up tight. I’m pretty sure it wasn’t actually the tassel earrings, but rather doing something that was outside of the box. I mean I can’t remember the last time I did something that wasn’t predictable or overly conservative. Since I wore these earrings I’ve purchased two additional pairs that I love to death. I’m already eyeing my next pair.
