Sweater weather has officially arrived! I have a bit of mixed emotions about it this year though. There is nothing better than jeans and a cute cozy sweater, I love it to death! I have my favorite sweaters that I wear year after year. However, this year I don’t fit into any of them. My bump is growing at a pretty fast rate.
I don’t want to invest in a ton of maternity wear, so I’m opting for a lot of open cardigans (like this one and this one) and sweater blazers (my favorite one is from J. Crew). More to come on why I’m not investing in a ton of maternity wear. I’m trying to invest in pieces I can wear pregnant or not, and let me tell you, it’s a lot of work. But I’m having a ton of fun researching it and testing out pieces as we get into sweater weather.
Say hello to the sweater vest! It’s the perfect fall sweater that you can wear pregnant or not pregnant. It is great for unpredictable sweater weather, as it provides a little bit of warmth while not overheating you. The longer length of the vest dresses it up a bit too, which I love!
I’ve paired my vest with a basic black tee and my Everlane Authentic Stretch Denim . The camel color of the vest speaks for itself so I’ve muted the rest of my outfit. I couldn’t resist pairing this with my leopard print flats, I’ve had these for years, but you can find cute flats here and here.
While I’m not a huge leggings for pants person you can pair this with leggings. I’d dress it up a bit though and pair this with faux leather leggings (Spanx have a great pair and a good maternity option can be found here) and a cute bootie (splurge on these or save on these )for a perfect weekend look.
