Summer Work Tops Under $100

If you are headed to the office this summer like me, you need to stock your closet with summer work tops that are appropriate for work.  Typically in the summer, dress codes are relaxed making way for less formal tops. Summer work tops should be light, easy and breezy. You can easily wear short sleeves or even a sleeveless top in the office. Summer allows for a lot more fun in your selections, both in style and in color.

I tend to wear lighter colors in the summer and even brighter colors than normal. While I love black, I do try to steer clear of that color for summer. Light creams and neutrals are easy to wear, but so are bright colors like coral and pink.  It’s summer after all so the brighter the better! And a must have for summer tops is that they are machine washable.

I have to be able to wash my summer tops, and dry cleaning isn’t an option for me. In addition, let’s talk about cost. I like to keep the cost under $100 for summer work tops. I can usually do this by taking advantage of great summer sales and shopping at more mainstream stores like Ann Taylor, Loft or Express. Their tops are typically under $100 normally and the savings go up during a sale.
