I don’t like to get ahead of myself, but I do like to be prepared. It was 80 the other day in Chicago and while I was so excited I realized I wasn’t ready for this warmer weather. We had just started spring and summer arrived quickly, however the warmer temps left me scrambling for something to wear. Naturally I put together a list of summer wardrobe essentials under $200.
With the warmer temps I immediately started to get my summer wardrobe in check. I reviewed what I currently had, tried it on and made a list of what I need for this summer. I tend to keep it simple in the summer. Cute tops, dresses and shorts. While I love a standard tee shirt I do feel more confident in a blouse or something more dressy. This way I can wear it to work from home and look professional on zoom calls and still wear it around town or even to the park with the girls.
Summer Wardrobe Essentials Under $200
Lets make something clear about my list, it isn’t a summer capsule wardrobe. Truth be told I love capsule wardrobes, but I haven’t been able to master creating one and wearing through it yet. Instead, I buy a few things that I love and know I will wear all summer long. This way I’m not wasting my money. So, what I’m sharing is what I need and want for summer! I did keep all the items under $200 though. I firmly believe that summer clothes shouldn’t cost that much considering they are using little fabric to create them.
