Today I’m sharing a review of the famous SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic Serum. It’s been all over my IG feed for the last couple of years and I finally decided to take the plunge. I didn’t go into this purchase haphazardly though, I did my research, like I always do! The price tag alone on this serum gave me pause. It’s $169 for a 1 oz bottle and that’s a lot of money! With a price tag like that, it means two things. Either it works or I’m getting ripped off! So naturally I waited until it went on sale and bought it.
To give you a proper review of the product I want to first tell you about the company, then provide you with the factual details about the product and give you my honest opinion. Here we go!

Each product has a high potency formula that is concentrated in pure actives which are proven to penetrate the skin optimally.
SkinCeuticals is formulated to correct the signs of aging, protect healthy skin and prevent future damage. As a 42 year old mom of young kids this is music to my ears. Each product has been developed to combat a very specific skin condition. I selected the C E Ferulic Serum to add to my skincare routine for a specific reason.

C E Ferulic serum is a vitamin C serum. In general, vitamin C improves the signs of aging, diminishes the appearance of lines and wrinkles, adds firmness and brightens the skin’s complexion. Vitamin C serum provides environmental protection and places a barrier between your skin and the harmful environment by neutralizing free radicals. You can think of vitamin C as your favorite pair of jeans in your closet. It’s the one thing you always grab for, you look your best in and can’t live without. You have to have vitamin C in your skincare routine.
My Thoughts on C E Ferlic Serum
I’ll cut to the chase, I love this product. I saw immediate results within a week of using it. My skin looked brighter and less dull. Using the serum is rather easy. I apply 3-4 drops of the serum each morning and pat it into my face. I left it dry, which takes 30 seconds and then apply my moisturizer. It’s super easy to use, but there are a few things to note about the product:
- The smell is questionable, it’s not fabulous and you will get over it. On the bright side the smell dissipates in minutes and becomes scentless.
- The serum is easy to layer and build upon. Once it dries you don’t even know its on your face.
- 3-4 drops seems like a small amount, but if you drop it into your fingertips and pat into your skin it will go a long way.
- My skin coloration is more even
- My dark under eye circles have lightened up, they are still there, but lighter 🙂
- One bottle should last about 3 months. I’m a month in and about a third of the way through the bottle.
One final point to make about skincare and the cost…it can get expensive! In my younger years I didn’t invest a lot of money in my skincare. Over the years as I’ve aged (sometimes visibly) and gained financial stability I’ve chosen to spend money on my skincare. Do I wish I did it earlier? Yes, however I couldn’t financially. I still have a hard time spending a lot of money on a small bottle of serum or cream, but it’s my face and my face is going to be around forever and I want it to look great!
