Thank you to Wayfair for sponsoring this post and a huge thanks to you, my readers, for supporting the brands that keep Later Ever After going!
September is such an exciting month for me. I’ve always loved September because it reminds me of back to school season. I always loved going to school, it was exciting and symbolized a fresh start. It also meant new summer/fall clothes!
These days September still has all those nostalgic feelings and also symbolizes new beginnings. We moved into our new home around this time last year. I can’t believe it’s been a whole year since we lived here. You can read all about finding my dream home here .
We’ve painted pretty much everything, refinished the floors and now it’s time to start redoing the larger things we wanted to. On the top of my list is a full master bathroom renovation and a full kitchen renovation, in that order. While we haven’t started either I did get a little restless and wanted a quick kitchen update…and fast!
In our home the kitchen is directly off the living space, so you can see it from anywhere in the house. The bones of the kitchen are good, it just needs a face lift with more modern colors and finishes. New cabinets aren’t in the budget right now, but fresh cabinet pulls are.
Updating the hardware in the kitchen gives good cabinets new life! We bought the condo when it was about 10 or 11 years old and while it was in great condition styles have changed since then. So a quick kitchen update is in order.
Gone are the days of super shiny rounded hardware. Today’s finishes are more square and flat or matte. I went with a cabinet pull that had a smaller footprint and was more modern. I actually got the new hardware from Wayfair.
I’ve been on a hot Wayfair kick since we moved into our place. I’ve never bought anything from them before because I was scared that I wouldn’t like the product without seeing it in person first. After the first rug arrived that fear left my body and I was hooked. It was a great rug!
I loved the first rug so much, I bought four more rugs off Wayfair and so much more! Here is what I purchased so far:
Cabinet Pulls for Kitchen and Bath
In terms of cabinet hardware Wayfair has hundreds of options to choose from too. You can spend hours looking or just minutes. If you use the filters to narrow your search you find what you are looking for super quick. Or if you are like me, I search everything just to feel inspired!
In the end I went with the GlideRite Hardware pulls in the nickel finish for the kitchen. The smaller footprint of the pulls made the kitchen look more modern immediately. The nickel finish means I don’t have to constantly shine them up and they show less fingerprints.
Installing them was super easy too. It took about 45 minutes to switch out the whole kitchen. The total cost to do this was $125, which fit my budget perfectly. I’m so happy the Wayfair was able to help me do a quick kitchen update. I can’t wait to see what I buy from them next!
