Can you believe it’s been over a year since the “lockdown” happened. When I think back to my style a year ago compared to today, it is like night and day. I’ve said goodbye to matching lounge wear (even though I love it still) and hello to fun, bold patterned dresses. I love to get dressed everyday and I love it even more when I love my clothes. This spring I’m stepping things up a lot and wearing more dresses. But not just any type of dress. I’m looking for bold patterned dresses for spring. I’m completely drawn to over the top patterns. In fact, the more outrageous the pattern the better.

Wearing a bold pattern takes a bit of confidence because everyone is going to look at that pattern. It doesn’t blend in and that’s the point. A bold patterned dress for spring puts a little pep in my step and makes me feel good. I’m a firm believer that if you look good you will do good in life. It creates a mindset and allows you to achieve anything.

This spring I’m obsessed with this shirt dress from Talbots. My love for Talbots is new as I recently shared a few spring tops on the blog, you can read the post here. And this dress is a dream! It doesn’t wrinkle, it is a dream to wash, it’s video conference friendly, and if functional as I’m chasing Lizzie around the playground. I simply can’t ask for anything else. I’ll be living in this dress as spring slowly turns to summer.

Sizing on this dress is pretty generous, I went with a medium and love the fit. It has a beautiful cut that provides a great silhouette without being too tight. You can wear your normal undergarments, which is a huge plus for me. In addition, the length is also great. I’m 5’9 and it hits right at my knee, which I feel is an appropriate length for chasing a toddler around town.
