Hello friends! Last week I took a mini social media break. While I love IG, it just became too much for me. Every single person I follow decided to change their normal content and switch to overly political content and well that’s not my thing. I’m old school and I don’t talk about politics or religion outside the home. So you won’t find any of that here, but you will find fun, family, food and fashion.

Part of my content includes Mom Style! I am a strict no leggings outside of the house gal. I know it sounds crazy, but I firmly believe that leggings aren’t pants. Now I have broken my rules and worn leggings with an oversized sweater, but that is a rare occasion. My mom style is jeans and cute tops or cozy sweaters and comfortable shoes. I walk and run everywhere so comfy shoes are non-negotiable.

Since I’ve been at home a lot lately, I’ve been focusing on more budget friendly items in my wardrobe. For work I am a quality over quantity girl, but for my work from home lifestyle I’m a quantity over quality gal 🙂 In fact I recently shared my top 12 sweaters for fall and all the sweaters featured are cost effective. Mom Style Essentials

My mom style essentials are pretty simple and something that anyone can relate to. Here is a quick look.

High Waisted Jeans – I need to feel secure and snug when bending over and picking up a toddler all day long.
Slightly Oversized Top – I love tight clothes, I truly do, but having slightly oversized tops is a better approach with a toddler. Nothing is hanging out and I don’t have to suck in all day.
Comfy Shoes – I’m literally chasing a kid around town so my feet need to keep up
On Trend – I’m still wearing current clothes and want to keep up with the latest trends.

Go-To Mom Outfit

So here is my most worn mom outfit right now. It’s stylish, on trend, comfortable and easy to move in. My jeans are old, sorry, but there are similar pairs here and here. A good pair of denim never goes out of style. My shoes are by Franco Sarto and he makes the most comfortable and in-style shoes I’ve ever worn. I actually have several of his shoes and they are amazing. My favorite from the fall line are here and here.

And the sweater I’m wearing is only $20! I sized up to a large to create a slightly oversized look, I would have normally taken a medium in it for a comparison. You know I love just about any animal print and this is no exception. The variation in color on the zebra print is done perfectly. This sweater comes in other prints as well and this striped one is so cute for the holidays.
