Quite Luxury is sweeping the fashion world and I’m here for it. Quiet luxury refers to understated clothing and jewelry made with very high-quality materials and zero labels or logos. I’m not a huge logo person to begin with so this is a trend I can get behind and support. I’ve spent a lot of time building and curating a fine jewelry collection over the years. However, my collection lacks gold jewelry. I’ve been a silver jewelry gal the majority of my life. As I mature, I feel the need for quality gold pieces in my collection as well. Therefore, my first stop to find these pieces was the Mejuri Chicago store.
Mejuri Chicago Store
Mejuri is available online and has 24 stores in the US, Canada and London. I’m super lucky that one of their bigger showrooms is located in Chicago’sWest Loop neighborhood (940 W Randolph St, Chicago, IL) The West Loop is a hot spot in Chicago with several stores and restaurants making the Mejuri store a destination you must visit. The store is aesthetically pleasing with each jewelry piece perfectly displayed for you to shop.
You can browse at your leisure without the staff being overbearing. I am very impressed with the knowledge the staff has about the jewelry, company and overall trends. If you know what you want they can direct you to the right area of the store. In addition, if you need a little help putting together the perfect stack, they have the eye for that too.
Mejuri The Brand
Mejuri is a younger brand that was founded in 2015 with the vision to have everyday affordable fine gold jewelry that is accessible to everyone. While Mejuri is a brand, what they are creating is a new vision. They are shifting the traditional stereotypes of gifting jewelry to buying jewelry for yourself. And as someone who has lived her life on her own timeline, I say buy the damn jewelry for yourself. There is absolutely no need to wait for someone to buy you a piece of jewelry. In other words, just do it for yourself!
Mejuri Pieces I LOVE
Mejuri focuses on everyday fine gold jewelry that is completely affordable. They have hundreds of gold vermeil pieces. In addition, their vermeil is a thick layer of long lasting 18K solid gold on sterling silver, which provides longevity at a fraction of the price. Pieces are priced as low as $45 and as high as $1,000 (including diamonds). The majority of pieces are under $250, which is a great price point for gold fine jewelry. Furthermore, Mejuri has a solid collection of staple pieces as well as new releases introduced weekly. They are all designed in-house, in limited quantities, and they will only manufacture more based on consumer demand. This allows them to curate fresh products while keeping overall production less wasteful.
I’ve selected a few Mejuri pieces that fit my style, budget and lifestyle. Here is what I got and LOVE!
Dome Huggie $48
These are the best everyday earring for a lowkey luxury look. I love the shape of the Dome Huggie and the lightweight feel these have.
Tube Oversized Hoops $98
Every gal needs a classic gold hoop in their jewelry collection. These are the epitome of quiet luxury. These hoops are well crafted, have a secure closure and are light as air. In addition, Mejuri has several hoop sizes so you can find something for your style.
Bold Pearl Hoop $98
The most classic item a girl can own is a pair of pearl earrings. I love the mix of classic and trendy on these bold pearl hoops. I wore them to the office and received non-stop compliments.
Necklace Victory Winged $148
Mejuri necklaces are so luxurious in person. The pendants are a great weight that make you know you have a quality piece of jewelry. I picked up the Victory Winged Necklace which is a nod to the Winged Victory Statue at the Louvre in Paris.
Rings
I picked up a couple rings to create a cute stack. Mejuri rings are priced just right so you can buy a couple to create a stack and keep the total price under $100. The Metallic Sphere Ring is only $48 and is adorable. The detail on this ring is spectacular. And the Coil Stacker Ring is a classic style that you can wear alone or with other rings. It’s also $48!
