One of the biggest fall trends this year is plaid. I’m not talking about chunky plaid, I’m talking about thin, intricate and refined plaid. Plaids that will make you think they are a neutral and not a bold pattern. It’s a little outside my comfort zone, but I’m always up for a trend when it’s done right. And M.M. LaFleur hasn’t let me down with their new plaid this fall. I’m so excited to show you how to wear plaid this fall!
How To Wear Plaid This Fall
Plaid in the fall isn’t a new concept, it’s been around for years. However, this fall M.M.LaFleur has introduced a refined plaid that is office appropriate and I’m loving it. Pulling off plaid in the office is simple to do. Here are my tips for how to wear plaid this fall.
- Wear complimenting colors, like the cranberry colored turtleneck I’m wearing
- Stick to neutral color shoes and purses
- Minimize accessories, the plaid pattern is the statement piece of your outfit
Plaid Dress
And lets take a minute to talk about this stunning dress I’m wearing! The plaid pattern is perfect!
- Midi length
- Ruching detail over the tummy to create a sleek silhouette
- Tailored yet not tight
- Machine washable and wrinkle resistant
- Versatile – wear with a turtleneck or alone with a blazer
I’m wearing a 10 in the dress and it’s slightly snug in the chest. However I did have a baby 6 months ago and things are still larger, if you know what I mean! And I’m wearing a large in the turtleneck. I would size up in this if you have a larger chest. I typically wear a medium in MM tops.
If you are loving the pattern they have other pieces as well.
- Blazer can be worn alone with jeans or together with the dress to make a full suit.
- Mini Skirt that will give you major Clueless vibes!
- Puff Sleeve Top that is super sweet and girly
- Ankle Pant that has a straight leg which is great for the office.
