How To Style a White Blazer For Work

One of my most curated collections in my closet is my blazer collection. I have one for just about every occasion including summer. My go-to summer blazer is the white blazer. It’s my summer power piece that I can wear casually, but really shines when wearing it in the office.  It’s slightly unexpected and always admired when I wear it in the office.  And while I’ve missed out on a few months wearing it this year, I will be bringing it back in August!  I’ve had the same one for years and I’m replacing it this year with this one.

 

White Blazer 

A good white blazer is the shining star of any outfit. Whether you are pairing it with distressed jeans or a tailored dress it will take your outfit to the next level. You can wear it in the spring, summer and fall. To wear the blazer in all those seasons you need to have a year round fabric, such as linen.

Linen is the ideal summer fabric as it is lightweight and breathable. However, you can wear linen in the spring and fall as well. Along with my newest blazer being linen it also has some amazing features like;

• Collarless silhouette – This provides a relaxed look for summer
• One button closure – This looks great when left open
• Slit front pockets – big enough to go without a purse and keep your phone in there
• Lined – a quality blazer should be lined, it extends the life of the fabric 

 

How To Style A White Blazer For Work

Wearing a white blazer to the office is easy to do, you can pair it with just about everything in the same color family.  Here are a few options on how to wear one to work.

 

With a Dress 

My favorite way to wear a white blazer to the office is with a dress.  In the summer I often wear fun and bold prints.  Pairing them with a white blazer tones it down a bit for the office and also adds a layer of warmth.  You can also pair it with a solid color dress to create a color block look.  However, I would go with the bold fun print!

 

With Pants

If you are a pants gal there is nothing more sleek than a white blazer and a pair of joggers, yes joggers!  Joggers have come a long way and this pair  is perfect for the office.  They are a polished jogger that are wrinkled resistance and machine washable.

 

With Jeans

If jeans are acceptable in your office then adding a white blazer will have you looking crisp and polished.  Keep it simple with a camisole as your base layer and a statement necklace.
