I have a love/hate relationship with the holidays. I love them, truly love them, but there are a ton of parties around the holidays. Which means I need to come up with several holiday outfits. It can sometimes be stressful, if I’m not prepared. Today I’m sharing 3 ways to create holiday party outfits instantly.
Yes, you can turn any outfit into a holiday outfit, fairly quickly. I know this sounds impossible, but I promise it’s super easy. First you need to start with your outfit. I’m not talking about taking fuzzy comfies and making them holiday party ready. I’m talking about basic everyday clothes and making them holiday ready.
In today’s post I’ll show you three of my everyday outfits and how I make them into holiday outfits.
Outfit #1 Add Statement Earrings
Adding a statement earring is my favorite way to jazz up an everyday outfit. Nothing screams holiday party outfits like an oversized earring that sparkles. In fact I’d wear this type of earring anytime I need to dress up an outfit.
You can wear a stud, hoop or chandelier type statement earring. I’ve recently gotten into dangly earrings and love this pair. They have fun colors and are on trend with the multi colored baguettes.

Outfit #2 Add A Plaid Scarf
If you don’t already own a plaid scarf, what are you waiting for? I’ve busted out my plaid scarf around mid-November and tuck it away right after New Years. I don’t overplay it, but during those 45 days I wear it all the time.
It’s also the perfect accessory to add to any outfit to instantly look holiday ready. I usually wear it with my coat to keep warm and then drape it around me as part of my outfit. It’s the ideal outfit for holiday events around town during the day. (At time of publish the stripped bodysuit is on back order, however a great alternative is this turtleneck bodysuit)

Outfit #3 Add A Blazer and a Heel
Can you tell I love statement pieces? My final instant holiday look involves a statement necklace and a blazer. Statement pieces go a long way as an accessory. They completely change the feel of any outfit. It’s because they are now the focal point, they are the statement.
The blazer is a wardrobe staple for me and adding it to any outfit (holiday or regular) steps up your style instantly. You can see why I’m a huge fan of any blazer here and here. When wearing a blazer be sure to cuff your sleeves for that extra pop of polish!
