Holiday Party Outfits You Can Wear Year Round

For the first time in a long time holiday parties are back! I know I have a work party this year as well as some festive gatherings with friends. With this exciting time comes the small stress of what to wear.  While it’s a little stressful, I actually love creating new holiday outfits! This year I’m not buying a dedicated “holiday party outfit.” I’m looking to add something to my closet that can be festive, yet used all year round.

Spending money on a holiday outfits that I’m going to wear once just isn’t in the budget this year. I want to get the most out of what I buy and find multiple uses for it. In general, I have “expensive” taste in clothing. I don’t mind spending a lot of money on a high-quality piece. However, I have to love it and know I’m going to wear it a lot. This way my cost per wear is a digestible amount. I tend to put a lot of money into my work wardrobe, as you know, but I wear the clothing for years!

Holiday Outfits

This year I came up with two holiday party outfits that can be worn year round! I’ve created a dress option and a pant option. While I love dresses, I know that not everyone does, so I wanted to give all my readers options for the holidays. I’ll show you how you can wear these looks all year round. Holiday Party Outfit – Dress Option

I fell in love with the Ciela Dress online and had high hopes for it. From the moment I tried it on I was in love! I get really excited when that happens! This dress comes in two colors, both are perfect for the holidays and beyond. I have the Dark Aleo color, which reminds me of a soft Christmas green color and it also comes in Maroon which is also holiday-like.

For the holidays I would pair this with the Ivory Jardigan, a statement earring and a suede heel. All of these items can be worn year round as well.  What I love about this combination is it is festive and creates a chic holiday look without looking Christmasy.

After the holidays this dress is going to be a staple in my closet. The sleeve length and lightweight fabric makes it ideal for all four seasons. Wear it alone on warmer days and layer it up with a cardigan or jardigan on colder days.

Holiday Party Outfit – Pant Option

This pant outfit has zero traditional holiday colors, but it is completely festive! What makes the outfit festive is the fabrics and jewel tones. Pink by default is not a holiday color, however when it’s silky and catches the light it has a festive feel to it. The Ivory Jardigan adds a touch of shimmer to really bring this look into festive territory. And the trouser pants, oh my!

This is the first pair of trouser pants I have owned in years. I’m typically a jogger or skinny ankle pant type of gal so I moved out of my comfort zone in these pants. And let me tell you, they are wonderful! Two things I love about the Horton TrouserFirst they are washable wool and second they are long enough and have a generous hem in case you need them altered. I’m 5’9 so finding a long trouser that lays great is a hard task.

After the holidays these trousers can obviously be worn as a traditional work pant in the spring, fall and winter. The silk cami is ideal for layering in the office and out at night. I personally will be wearing the Ivory Jardigan out at night. It’s the perfect touch of glamor that works all year long!
