Spring is in the air! Well, not exactly, but according to the calendar it’s Spring and I’m ready to start dressing like it. And that means fun bright colors and floral everything for me! Incorporating Spring clothes into Winter weather can be challenging though, but I’ve worked out a secret way to do just that.
The new line that incorporates everything I love about Spring clothes is currently at Nordstroms and I am absolutely wild about! It’s the Gibson x Living In Yellow Line. I joined Erin at the launch of her line at Nordstroms in Chicago a couple weeks ago and was very impressed by her and the clothes. If you read her blog you know that she is adorable, down to earth, and inspiring. The best part is she was exactly the same in real life!
That night I was able to snag a couple pieces, and also picked up many more pieces online. Keep reading to see what I picked up, why I love it, and why you need it in your closet! A great feature of this line is its availability in sizes ranging from petite to plus sizes. No woman is left out on affordable, approachable fashion and that’s exactly how it should be!
My most favorite piece from the Gibson x Living In Yellow Line right is the Erin Crossover Tunic. It’s available in four beautiful solid colors and two awesome prints. You can literally dress this up or down and wear it for a lot of occasions. I’ve styled it with my favorite green military-inspired pieces, Holly & Tanager purse, and David Yurman bracelet.

I featured this tunic above. It’s currently on heavy rotation in my wardrobe. The sleeves can be worn all the way down or buttoned up as a 3/4 length sleeve. The crossover detail in the front dresses up the shirt.
This top has several things going for it. First, it comes in a red stripe and a black stripe. Second, its fleece which makes it super cozy. Third, it doesn’t actually look like fleece so you can wear it out without feel dressed down. I love to tuck this top in a little in the front. I’ve been wearing it with jeans, but can’t wait for transitional weather to wear it with jean shorts.

Say hello to the dress I’ll be wearing all summer long! I’ve picked it up in the navy floral pattern and the solid black. The shape is perfect for just about any body type and is made with a light breezy material. I’ll be paring the navy dress with these peep-toe wedges. And I’m going to dress my black tank dress with a statement necklace and these adorable block heels.

An open cardigan is a closet essential. I might have three or four in my closet right now. I always have one in my purse in case I get cold. It’s a great piece to buy and keep at your desk at work for chilly office days.
I never met a blazer I didn’t like. In fact, I just let you all know about the top blazers for Spring. This blazer is more casual, as it has no closure, but still packs on the style. The cuffed stripe sleeve detail really makes the blazer pop!
Everyone needs comfy pants and these are the ultimate comfy pants! Pair them the Chelsea Cozy Fleece Sweatshirt and you have a matching tracksuit which reminds me of the Juicy Couture Tracksuit (I know you all had one, mine was green!).
