Everyday Earrings

The one item that can make me feel put together instantly are earrings.  I wear earrings everyday regardless of what I am wearing.  If I’m in jeans or loungewear I wear earrings.  Everyday earrings are the one accessory that can go with everything in your closet.  Whether you dress to the nines or wear your latest loungewear set , earrings will make you feel put together.  I believe that everyone should have a go-to set of everyday earrings that they love.  Your everyday earrings should be classic, sizeable and reflect your natural style.

Stud Earrings

The best everyday earrings are stud earrings.  They are classic and go with every outfit.  Stud earrings come in all different sizes.  You can get very small earrings or large hefty studs that slightly hang off your ear.  I prefer a hefty to medium size stud earring.  With this size they are large enough to be seen, but won’t overpower your ear.  

My go-to everyday earrings right now are the David Yurman Sculpted Cable Earrings.  I’ve always loved David Yurman pieces.  Their unique design is iconic and instantly recognizable.  I have a few David Yurman pieces in my collection which include the Classic Cable Bracelet and the Oval Chain Link Bracelet.  His pieces are so timeless!   

Cost Per Wear 

In my Barefoot Dream Cardigan post I share my theory on cost per wear.  Cost per wear is a huge factor when I buy any item, especially a jewelry piece.  If I am going to wear a piece of jewelry everyday I am willing to spend more for the item.  First, I want the item to be high quality and second, I want the item to last forever.

While price doesn’t always equate to high quality, it most often relates to a brand that is trustworthy and has a strong reputation.  From my experience there are certain jewelry brands that are worth the money and David Yurman is one of them.

I’ve owned these earrings for a couple years now and have easily gotten my money’s worth out of them.  They are literally my everyday earring.  I love that they are a hefty stud earring and have a subtle detail that isn’t overpowering. They speak for themselves and signify a classic powerful woman.
