Let’s get something out there right away…I am not a beauty blogger, but I do use plenty of beauty products and have done a lot of research on skincare. In true late bloomer style, I didn’t start to take my skin care seriously until later in life. And boy do I wish I started seriously caring in my 20’s. But here we are and I’m happy to have found a good skincare routine and path now. I do know one thing about skincare, even though I started later in life, ELEMIS is a powerhouse of skincare and they are my go-to for skincare.
The majority of my skincare products are ELEMIS. I was intrigued by the brand from my first spa experience. I noticed many of the products being used at high end spas in Chicago were ELEMIS. So of course I had to check them out myself. I found that I can get the exact high-end spa products at home and was hooked on my ELEMIS beauty routine ever since.
ELEMIS Pro-Collagen Line
From facewash to eye creams and everything in between ELEMIS offers something for every skin type and concern. My favorite line is the Pro-Collagen line. The products in this line are true workhorses of my skin care routine. The Pro-Collagen line was designed to smooth the appearance of lines and wrinkles and deliver intense, skin-plumping hydration to leave your skin looking and feeling more youthful. And let me tell you, it truly works!
The majority of the products I use daily in my ELEMINS beauty routine are from the Pro-Collagen line. I’ve been using these products for years and the hydration benefit alone is what keeps these in my daily routine. While the other benefits are amazing, my thirsty skins needs all the hydration it can get. Here are my favorites and how I use them in my routine.
ELEMIS Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm – Cleansing balms are a unique skin cleaner. I personally think they don’t clean my skin enough, so I’ve come up with another way to use them. Right before I steam my face I apply a thin layer of the cleansing balm to my face. I steam my face and then rinse with cold water. The whole process opens the pores, lets the cleansing balm in to work and then closes the pores.
ELEMIS Pro-Collagen Eye Revive Mask – This product is recommended to use daily or a minimum of 3 times a week to see results. The mask reduces wrinkles, dark circles and puffiness. I use this mask 3 times a week and especially when my eyes are tired and puffy. It really works overnight so I wake up feeling and looking refreshed. This is great to use on a Sunday night, after a long weekend or when I need to be camera ready for work in the morning.
ELEMIS Pro-Collagen Oxygenating Night Cream – The formula is thick, but it goes on feeling lightweight. The cream firms, smooths and replenishes my skin. It hydrates my face over night, so I wake up with plumper skin. I can tell a difference on nights I don’t use this because I’ve fallen asleep on the couch way too early.
ElEMIS Pro-Collagen Marine – OMG this is the mother-ship! It’s pricey, but worth every penny! I can see a difference in my skin’s tightness since using it. It’s a lightweight cool feeling cream. I use about a nickel size every morning and it is amazing! There are two options, one with SPF and one without. I use the one with SPF because adding a little extra protection against the sun never hurts.
ELEMIS Products
My ELEMIS beauty routine doesn’t stop with their Pro-Collagen line, they have many other products that work excellently.
ELEMIS Dynamic Resurfacing Facial Pads – These are the adult version of Stridex Pads that I used in my teen years. The daily-use pads increase cell turnover, generating fresh skin. They also reduce the look of dark spots, pores and uneven skin texture, which are all things I need help with. After swiping the pad across my face I can feel a slight tingle so I know it is working.
ELEMIS Superfood Facial Oil – I am a huge fan of facial oil and I believe everyone should be using some facial oil in the morning. The ELEMIS Superfood line is great, it uses antioxidants to enhance your skin’s radiance, smoothness and plumpness. Simply add a couple drops into your palm and pat it into your face, let it soak in and then apply moisturizer and makeup.
ELEMIS Superfood Day Cream – I wear moisturizer in the morning so my skin is smooth when I apply my makeup. Having a lightweight, lightly scented cream was important and this did the trick. It’s made with Superfood lipids, Broccoli, Flax Seed and Daikon Radish which is gentle on my skin.
ELEMIS Superfood Night Cream – Similar to the day cream, but in a thicker formula. The night cream has a heavier scent, is thicker and is still gentle on my skin.
ELEMIS Papaya Enzyme Peel – This is a mini facial without going to the fancy salon. They actually use this at several Spa’s in Chicago. If it’s good enough for them then it’s good enough for me. You apply a thin layer on your face and let it sit for 10 minutes, rise it off with water and your face is fresh and ready to go. It removes the dead skin cells and brings out a fresh layer of skin. I use this one or two times a week at night.
ELEMIS Peptide Eye Recovery Cream – This eye cream really works wonders. It takes my sad and sagging eyes and brightens and tightens them up. I use this cream sparingly because it’s a bit pricey, just a tiny dot under each eye and I pat it in.
ELEMIS Beauty Routine
I’ve developed my ELEMIS beauty routine over the course of several years. Finding my go-to products didn’t happen overnight, in fact there was a ton of trial and error. My one tip to trying out a new product is to test it out on a small patch of your skin first. This way you can see if you have a reaction to it. If you do, don’t continue to use it. My skin has never had a bad reaction to any ELEMIS product.
What I do know after all my “research” is that ELEMIS is the real deal. I have never been disappointed in a product they offer and can always see the results. Do I think they are pricey? Yes, but they are worth it. I always try to purchase my ELEMIS products when they have a sale. And lucky for you I have a 20% off code for your purchase. Use code LoveElemis20 for 20% off your purchase through October 31, 2021…enjoy!
