Cozy Sweaters For Winter

Can you believe that Christmas is just six days away?  I’m so looking forward to a little time off. I usually don’t take a full week off at Christmas, however this year I am.  Daycare will be closed and that means I get to be home with Lizzie for a week…EEEEEKK! I want to have grand plans, but I know I’ll be inside playing with her and living in cozy sweaters.

 

Having time off with Lizzie means planning my day so I can spend time with her, do a few house projects and enjoy a Hallmark Christmas movie or two.  I can’t wait till she is older and wants to watch Christmas movies with me!

 

I don’t have to much planned, but here is what a typical day on vacation looks like for me.

Daily Schedule

5:30am Wake Up – Getting up early is actually fun, you can ready why I do it in this post here.

6:30am – Lizzie wakes up, I give her a bottle and she plays on her Lovevery Play Mat or with her Activity Table

8:30am – Breakfast with Lizzie, then naptime for Lizzie.  She’ll sleep anywhere from 1.5 – 3 hours. 

9:00am – 12pm – Laundry, straighten up house, start a project (I am currently organizing all her baby clothes and straightening up our spare bedroom)

12pm – Lunch with Lizzie, she eats anything I eat so making lunch is easy

12:30pm – 2:30pm – Play time with Lizzie. We read books, play with blocks and watch one episode of Sesame Street

2:30pm – Feed Lizzie, story time and nap.  She can go for another 1 to 2 hour nap depending on how tired she is.

2:30pm – 4:30pm – Free time for mom and afternoon coffee made at home with our new Keurig 

4:30pm – Wake up Lizzie no matter what, this is the latest I let her sleep

4:30pm – 5:45pm – Prep dinner and eat

6:30pm – Bath and bedtime routine 

7:00pm – Finish up projects, straighten up house and relax with cookies and milk.  You can see my favorite holiday recipe here 

I guarantee you that this perfectly curated scheduled will NOT happen once on vacation.  But that is the fun of it.  The plan is that nothing goes as planned!  What I do know will happen is that Lizzie and I will be wearing cozy sweaters for winter all of Christmas break.  There is nothing I love more then being cozy inside and snuggling up with my baby girl!
