It’s Christmas and the magic is alive in our house! Lizzie is very much into decorating for Christmas. We spent time putting up all the decorations in her room. We put up a tree, got out the Christmas stuffed animals and hung a stocking. This year I surprised Lizzie with a special Christmas Tent! She has a tent in her room year round, but this year I added a few special touches to make it a holiday happy place and Nest Designs helped me out. Before we get to the Christmas Tent let me share a little about Nest Designs and their cozy kids pajamas and blankets.

One of my favorite parts of running this blog is finding new brands and sharing them. The majority of my research for kids brands I do online. I search and read a lot of other blogs looking for new brands. I also have a few gals I follow and trust online and love to see their recommendations. Nest Designs Quilted Blanket

This is the blanket that inspired the Christmas Tent. I’m a huge blanket person, I love to snuggle up on the couch with a blanket. So naturally I want my kids to be just like me! I’m constantly searching for a cozy blanket that I love for my kids. I’m so happy to have found Nest Designs because they have THE BEST blanket for kids on the market. The quilted blanket comes in three sizes:

Large 180cm x 230cm (70″ x 90″), its large enough to be a coverlet on a queen size bed
Medium 145cm x 180cm (57″ x 70″), this will fit a twin bed and is great for cozying up on the couch
Small 140cm x 110cm (43″ x 55″), this is ideal for a toddler bed or a ground blanket for a baby to play on

Lizzie has the medium size and Maggie has the small size. These are great for their ages right now. In addition, the medium size will last Lizzie well into her older kid years. Maggie is good with the small blanket until she graduates to a big kid bed, so I have a couple years still. The blankets are so soft and so cozy, I find myself stealing it on the couch constantly!

Besides great bedding they have amazing pjs for babies and kids. I have a few requirements for cozy kid pajamas and the majority of them are for ease of use. Here are my requirements:

Zipper only – I need this for the fastest diaper change in the middle of the night
Breathable material – Keeping my baby cool when sleeping is a safety requirement for me
Adorable patterns – I want my baby to look cute 🙂
High quality – I wash pjs daily for my baby so they have to be able to stand up

Christmas Tent

I’m really excited about the Christmas Tent this year and so is Lizzie. She loves to hang out in her tent and recently I noticed she was listening to her Tonie in there. I wanted it to be a bit more cozy for the holiday season. In the winter we tend to spend more time at home and splitting up the day in different spaces in the house makes it easier for everyone to get through the day. Therefore, I made her a cozy Christmas Tent that she spends a lot of time in. Truth be told I like to lay in it too!
