Hello friends! You all know my bread and butter is workwear fashion, however I am working on branching out. I have one go to athleisure outfit that I swear by, you can see it here in this post. This fall I’m working on increasing my athleisure outfits and I’m starting with the Summersalt French Terry Tie Waist Pant. Yes, Summersalt has more than bathing suits, they actually have a ton of clothes which are super cute and super comfortable.
As a mom of two young kids I’m slowly starting to embrace the lifestyle of dressing comfortably for functionality and versatility, while not compromising style. I still believe that you should get fully dressed each day and look presentable at all times. And my personal unpopular opinion is leggings are not pants. Summersalt French Terry Tie Waist Pants
The Summersalt French Terry Tie Waist Pant is the perfect starter pant for athleisure outfits. They meet all my “mom” requirements which include comfort and functionality. My favorite features include the elastic waist, pockets and ultra soft material. They come in four colors (olive, black, slate and fawn) and sizing is true to size. I’m wearing a medium and normally take an 8 or 10 in most pants.

Even though I’m going for that cute comfy look, I’m still styling my entire outfit. I’m not just throwing on any old sweatshirt with these pants. I’m carefully curating a look that is cohesive from head to toe. That includes adding my everyday jewelry as well as coordinating my shoes. I even like to elevate my athleisure look by pairing the pants with a neutral turtleneck or sweater.
I style my full look to be ready to leave the house. Getting out of the house with kids is work and if I can reduce that work by being ready to go, its that much easier. I also style my full look because being put together puts me in a good mood and sets me up to be productive during the day. If I look put together then I’m going to act put together, even if the house and my calendar is a disaster!
