Spring is almost here…depending on where you are. In Chicago, it feels like it will never arrive. We just had a massive snow storm a couple weeks ago. Regardless, I’m getting in the mood by getting my spring clothes ready. The top item on my list this year was a camo jacket. It also happens to be one of the hottest spring trends.
I’ve always been a fan of camo, but I just purchased my first piece this year. Talk about a late bloomer, camo has been around forever. I love that camo is so mainstream now and it comes in all shapes and sizes.
From leggings to sweatshirts to jackets you can find anything camo right now. You can also find it in any color, from traditional greens to greys, camo is everywhere. I personally love traditional green camo. It’s classic and can be worn year-round.
Now not all camo patterns are created equal. Finding the right camo pattern is a lot like finding the right animal print. It takes time and a good eye. You want the pattern to be realistic, yet fashionable. I suggest picking a camo pattern that is medium sized, not to big and not to small. I would also pick true camo colors in the green color family.
Camo Jacket
I scored the ultimate camo pattern in this jacket for spring and the price is right at $50 when not on sale. However this jacket is always on some sort of sale, so it’s even cheaper. I love the standup collar on this jacket. I also love that it has an adjustable waist on the inside. Cinching the jacket lets me create a defined waist.
The jacket is lightweight and is perfect for spring and fall. I love a piece that pulls double duty and can be worn for multiple seasons. In terms of sizing I picked this up in a medium. I would say it runs true to size. However if it is a little big you can cinch the waist.
Besides this jacket I am loving these camo items for spring.
