Ladies get those toned arms out — you know the ones you’ve been working out all winter long — because its t-shirt weather!!! No seriously, have you been working out your arms all winter or are you going to slap on that skin firming cream and hope it works? I do a little bit of both. I take a Pure Barre class every weekday morning and I also use this amazing AVEENO Skin Firming Cream. This stuff is like liquid gold and smells delicious! But lets get back to the top t-shirt trends for Spring.
As the temps start to warm up, I’m going to be breaking down the three types of t-shirts you need for Spring and Summer. I’m sure you all have your favorite t-shirt, but finding the perfect t-shirt can be a challenging task. So many things need to be just right to find the perfect t-shirt.
Some things to take into consideration when searching for the perfect t-shirt include:
- Length of the shirt (long or short)
- Type of neck (crew, v-neck, boatneck)
- Sleeve length (cap sleeve, longer sleeved or short sleeve)
- Type of tee (solid, striped or text)
Thats a ton of options for just one t-shirt!
If you are anything like me you find one t-shirt you like and buy 10 of them. Come on, admit it! I know you are all out there. I’ve gotten into a problem with this in the past. I find something I love and buy in bulk and get tired of the shirt very quickly. In fact, I do it with sweaters, pants and just about everything in my closet. So to help combat this problem this year, I am sharing the top t-shirt trends for spring and list below the top three t-shirts that you need to own this season.
Top T-Shirt Trend #1: Striped Tee
Fashion Details:
Your Spring wardrobe needs at least one stripe tee in it, preferably a classic style like navy and cream or black and white. Because a striped t-shirt is versatile and you will get a ton of use out of it. And when paired with jean shorts (or jeans) and flip flops, it’s great for running errands and getting stuff done. Also, you can also dress it up by adding a wedge sandal and tucking it in for a more put together look.
My favorite striped tee of the season is this Whisper Cotton Tee from Madewell. It’s lightweight which makes it perfect for warmer days and allows me to layer it with my J. Crew Sweater Blazer on cooler days without getting overheated.
I’ve linked some of my other favorite striped tees below.
Top T-Shirt Trend #2: Solid Tee
Fashion Details:
Nothing screams effortless style than a white t-shirt and jeans, it’s Spring time chic! And since solid color tees are here to stay and I usually stock up on a ton of them for the Spring. I see them in the stores and I immediately think “buy in bulk”. Whether that is good or bad, it’s what I do. The material and the neckline really define the solid color tee and separate the good from the bad. So when I stumbled upon this Knot Front Tee from Madewell I fell in love. I love that the tee is designed to be tied and had the extra material for it. And who knew that the 80’s would make a come back and everyone would be knotting their tees?
I’ve linked some of my favorite solid color tees here for you too.
Top T-Shirt Trend #3: Text Tee
Fashion Details:
Tees with words, or as I call them text tees, are all the rage right now. You can find a T-shirt to fit your personality or better yet have your most used phrase on it. I’m super selective about what text tees I wear, and some of my favorites are from J. Crew. That’s because seem to have the secret recipe for text tees and some of my favorites are in my Instagram posts and Pinterest boards.
Important factors in a good text tee include the placement of the text and the font. These two things alone can make or break the T-shirt. The LOFT usually has the softest material that is lightweight and shaped just right. They came out with this adorable Ciao Tee this year and I was delighted. The placement of the text was subtle and the script was adorable. This is a great “starter” text tee. If your new to text tees, like I was to distressed denim, then this is the tee for you. The cuffed sleeve is perfect for warmer Spring days too.

I love a great t-shirt! My favorite is a quality white tee because it can be styled so many ways. I adore how you tied the grey tee.
Lovely collection! All these t-shirts looking amazing and unique. I can’t wait to try them. Thanks for sharing.
