Summer Travel Essentials

Summer is off to a great start and we have been traveling like it’s our job!  And I’ve finally gotten into my groove as a traveling mom.  I consider myself a seasoned traveler and mom of two, I’ve learned a thing or two about summer vacations. Whether we’re hitting the beach, lounging by the pool, or embarking on a family road trip, having the right summer travel essentials can make all the difference between chaos and relaxation. Here’s my curated list of must-haves that ensure our summer travels are stress-free and enjoyable for everyone.

Summer Travel Essentials 

When it comes to pool days, preparation is key. I pack two beach bags.  One that is sturdy and can hold towels and coverups.  A second bag that holds all the other essentials, like sunscreen, water bottles, snacks and pool toys. 

For our beach excursions, I’ve discovered a few items that have become absolute necessities. First and foremost my Sandcloud Towels, these are essential for the beach!  I have a giant blanket that I spread out to sit on at hte beach and then two towels that I use for chairs or drying off.  These towels actually work and the sand just brushes off of them.  I store these in a giant tote with the towels.

When it comes to travel hacks, I’ve adopted a few that have made our journeys smoother and more enjoyable. Packing cubes are a lifesaver for keeping everyone’s clothes organized, each family member has their own cover.  I use these packing cubes and they work great.  They are sturdy and have lots of size options for only $20.   

I also swear by this toiletry bag.  I keep it fully stocked at all times so all I have to do it grab it and throw it in the suitcase.  The girls have their own bag and I have one too.  My toiletry bag also houses S Hooks that are life saver for summer travel.  I use these hooks in the bathroom to hang up wet bathing suits and towels.  We all know there is never enough hanging space in hotels.
